Twitter + Facebook = Stop Whining and Get To It

I keep hearing from a ton of business owners & entrepreneurs two things about these giants in the social sphere:

  1. “Facebook – it’s too social, and not ‘business’ enough for us!”
  2. “Twitter – there’s no way to use it for OUR business!”

Well, try, folks.

It’s not really about whether or not you can wrap your head around it, folks. It’s there, it’s huge, and you should use it.

If you can’t change the world, change yourself.

Part of the burden of doing marketing is coming up with creative ways to — market. If you can’t grasp the significance of using these two channels, then by the Gods, try. Spend a whole hour searching and coming up with ideas. I’ll even show you how:

I was inspired to write this because I saw an article recently. Note the big blue bars next to Twitter and Facebook. This is about driving traffic to your website, period. You want to use LinkedIn and other obscure social sites? Fine. But your traffic will suffer.

Facebook and Twitter: Just try to escape the gravitational pull.
